Peggle Blast is currently the latest puzzle videogame in the Peggle franchise. It was developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts, and released worldwide December 2, 2014, for iOS and Android.

The game introduces several new masters, such as Batrina, Roxy and Kablooey, and only four masters from previous games — Bjorn, Jimmy, Warren and Tula — return.

Embark on the journey of a lifetime, blasting your way through 200+ levels spanning enchanted forests, soggy shipwrecks, operatic caves, desert canyons and more.

Take your best shot! Peggle Blast HD blends luck and skill with joyous thrills. Clear all the orange pegs, rack up bonus points and hit style shots that will blow your mind. Learn to harness the awesome Master Powers and earn high scores that are beyond comprehension.

Your peg-popping adventure won't be easy, but the Peggle Masters will help you with sage advice and incredible skills. Aim true and clear your path to glorious victory!

Gameplay

Most levels require the player to hit all 25 orange pegs to beat the current level they're on while managing to don't run out of balls, just like previous Peggle games; the more points you get, the more stars at the end of the level. However, some levels require the player to drop gems, hatch eggs or perform certain Style Shots in order to progress.

Peggle Blast also uses a life system: if a player fails to beat the level, they lose a life and need to retry it. Players that lose all six lives must wait until all of them are regenerated.

At the end of each chapter, there is a special level that ties together mini-levels (called “battles”) and a Duel against Fnord.

Unlike all other Peggle games, this version is only single player, however it connects to Facebook and Google Play Games so players can see where their friends are at within the game.

Reception

Peggle Blast was a poorly received installment in the series. Reviewers state that the game is purposefully built to try and extract as much money as possible from players via microtransactions. Whether this be for unlocking levels or power ups to beat levels deliberately made hard to sell these items.

Meet master Tula in our latest update. She brings 15 sunny new levels, sure to make you smile. Tula’s magic power is the Sunburst. Use it to slow down your ball and surround it in a sunlit glow, lighting up bricks and pegs and destroying Bombs, Firepits, Gnomes, and more.

Also part of this update, try out levels with a different master’s power! Replay previous levels with another master, or for new levels, use a Boost to try the level with any master you’ve played before. Thanks for playing!
